Hi Lovely Reader! We are finally starting to have some chilly mornings in Alabama, so I am bringing you a Stylish Sweater Weather look today!
If you live in the south like me… most days start off cold and end up super hot –layers are a must– that way I can be warm going into work and start taking things off as the day warms up!
I told you guys a few posts back that I was recently contacted by a Linda Gaunt Communications to try out some pieces from dressbarn, well this look is from them too!
In addition to the Lace dress, I picked out this Reversible Plaid Fringed Hem Cape! I loved it in the look book and couldn’t wait to put my own spin on it for a fun fall look! I am keeping it semi-casual, but it is still totally office appropriate as well.
It is perfect for chilly mornings, I can throw it on over my outfit and I am out the door. It’s reversible, so that gives you more options for looks.
I kept this look super simple with black ponte pants (2x) and a plain black top like this one (similar). I think this would be super cute belted at the waist as well!
For this look, I also added simple black flats (similar) and my bag added a nice subtle pop of color!
I really wanted the cape to be the star of the show and loved how the look turned out. Can’t wait to try it with a dress and heels too!
