As a member of Influenster, I am sent free products to review from time to time. Sometimes I love the items and somethings don’t work for me, but this Shu Uemura – Blow Dry Beautifier is awesome! I have naturally curly, thick, frizzy hair that I normally put tons of oils and creams on just to tame it before and after I blow dry my hair. Generally, I just try to not anger the beast that is naturally curly hair.
This stuff works for me! When I find something that works for my hair, I feel I have to share for all my other girls with crazy hair out there! There are two different products that Shu Uemura offers as blow dry beautifiers, a bb cream for thick hair and a bb serum for fine hair. I can only talk to the awesomeness of the bb cream because my hair is so think that my hair stylist get her arm workout in every time I’m in the shop.
What it does:
- primes the hair fiber
- moisturizes without heaviness
- smooths and softens the hair
- helps protect from blow dry heat
- shapes and reshapes any look
How to use:
- apply to damp hair, blow-dry and heat style to set shape; reactivate by reapplying heat
- use to protect & perfect a blow dry.
I normally shower at night and put this on after I have towel dried my hair, I put it in a loose bun and let it sit over night. I get up in the morning, (hair is still wet btw, it’s THAT thick) and blow dry my hair as normal. This bb cream leaves my hair soft and shiny. I follow up with any styling tools I want to use, normally a wand for loose curls and I am good to go.
It doesn’t leave my hair feeling heavy or oily in any way, but I should note that I have extremely dry hair! If your hair sounds anything like mine then I suggest trying Shu Uemura – Blow Dry Beautifier! I am loving it, shop it here.
