Let’s talk about boots… being plus size I have large calves already, but thanks to genetics, I have even LARGER calves… about 18.5”. Every winter I struggle with my LOVE for knee high boots and large calves! I hate the devastation of trying on a beautiful pair and finding that they either will NOT pull on or refuse to zip over my short pudgy legs. Steven Madden’s Madden Girl collection has always been my go to for affordable boots that fit over my calves. I am rough on boots during the winter season, so I normally end up buying new ones every year.
The last few years my boot of choice has been the Madden Girl Zilch (pictured above). I ordered them from 6pm.com this year, normally I just search around till I find them at the best price. I LOVE these boots for a few reasons. First, they have stretchy panels on each side, when I first got them I was like great calves win again, Calves 100- Boots 0, after a little wiggling I was able to get them on and LOVED the look! I ordered them in every color! Second, they have a tiny bit of a wedge heel, it is just enough to make ya feel fancy but still casual enough to wear with denim. Third, the colors offered are awesome! The Cognac Paris ones are my personal favorite and I end up wearing them the most! I wear them with dresses, jeans, leggings…. Anything really. Here are a few of my favorite looks with these boots!
Also, I have been told these Payless ones are great too. I don’t have them but if you want a different option you may want to check these out!
